A brief story about my way in science
I'm a first year student at faculty of bioengeneering and bioinformatics, Lomonosov Moscow State University. I entered this place thanks to the prise place in Russian School Biology Olympiad (Sochi, Sirius, 2022). From the 6th grade in school I've been interested in biology. When I finished the violin class at my music school in 2019, I've started to prepare for different school biological competitions (at Kirov Center for additional education of gifted schoolchildren, Kirov Lyceum of natural sciences, and, of course, the biggest part of my preparation was self-studying).
Why FBB
I've chosen FBB because here I'm interested not only in bioinformatics (for example, AlphaFold2 is really wondering me), molbiol and biochem - I also want to learn well math and programming.
My simplest bioinf tool
This summer I've written little bionf tool - simplest ORFinder on Pyhon.
Submit your file (it must be one string), rewrite it's name where neccesary and run the algorythm to find potential (predict) ORFs. (UPD today: file isn't able to work right now, I'm testing smth).
Choosing of my bacteria for mini-research
Archaea species was over when I'd started to looking for interisting one. Genome sequence of my Rhodococcus fascians presented in NCBI database is "fresh" (it was read in 2016), so I'm a bit lucky. This bacteria is very interesting to me because of it has an impact on plant development.
